AFRICAN FASHION INTERNATIONAL | AFRICA FASHION FORUM

 


African Fashion International (AFI) confirms that Africa Fashion Week, scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 November, no longer took place in its format. In its place, AFI convened leading stakeholders on the continent to the first Africa Fashion Forum.

The first of its kind forum seeked to address the state of the industry and jointly discover new ways towards growth, competitiveness and sustainability to actively participate in the global fashion value chain.

The African Fashion Forum will take place during the first quarter of 2016, and will form the foundation for Africa Fashion Week going forward.

Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Executive Chairman of AFI, will share more information about the event at a media briefing to be held on the 2nd December.

AFI confirms that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg will take place as planned.
