NIKE FLYKNIT AM15

Count the Nike Flyknit Air Max and Air Max 2015 as the latest inductions to the legendary Air Max franchise. As usual, the PR talks up the idea of a lighter, stronger shoe with better traction and comfort. Nothing new there since every year we see a few ounces shaved off and new materials added as well as whatever tech updates are the new in thing.

The most noticeable aspect for the Flyknit Air Max is the shift away from utilizing Lunar and Free soles in exchange for Air unit. Surely, it’ll be a solid option for those who wear their footwear for style purposes as well as running. What I’m unsure of here is he two-color faded airbag.

Honestly, I’m going to ignore it for now – because we just spoke on the importance of first impressions – and accept it as more of marketing decision related to NikeID, the AM15+ showing up for customization on November 18th and the Flyknit Air Max to follow later.

Otherwise, I’d be turned off at the thought of wearing the footwear equivalent of Charms suckers on my feet.
The first of six inline colors of the Nike Air Max 2014 was available in stores and at Nike.com beginning December last year. The Nike Flyknit Air Max was then made available beginning of  January 3, 2014. Once I see those color combos, we’ll know how these stack up against the AM14+ and versus every of sneaker that’s already eating up my budget.
